Australia's Woolworths is looking at setting up sourcing hub in Thailand

The Bangkok Post reports that Australia Supermarket chain Woolworths is seriously considering a regional sourcing hub based in Thailand.
Nuntawan Sakuntanaga, director general of the Thai Dept of International Trade Promotion, said today that they had arranged meetings between Woolworths and about 60 Thai companies in preparation for the retailer opening a sourcing office.
80% of the operators involved in the meetings were in seafood, vegetables and fruit.
Woolworths operates 3000 stores in Australia and New Zealand, and a new sourcing hub based in Thailand would help boost exports to that region...
