Russia ties large increase in South Korea's pollock quota to IUU crab cooperation

South Korea and Russia signed an agreement on the 2014 fishing quota for South Korea.
The quota for pollock, one of the most popular fish in South Korea, increased from 25,000 tons in 2013 to 30,000 tons with an additional 10,000 tons to be allowed to South Korean boats after Aug. 31 if South Korea successfully blocks the entry of any illegally caught Russian crabs, the ministry said.
