Norway Royal Salmon beats Salmar in bid for 10 new fish farming licenses

Norwegian salmon producer Salmar did not get nominated for any of the new fish farming licenses the government plans to sell in the latest round of awards, the company said on Friday.
"We had hoped to be nominated. Now we will have to look closer into the case before we consider whether to make a complaint," Chief Financial Officer Trond Tuvstein told Reuters.
Competitor Norway Royal Salmon earlier said it had been nominated for 10 new licenses, sending its shares up by more than 13 percent.
