NOAA Study Finds Vessel Traffic Could Reduce Communication Amongst Atlantic Cod, Haddock

Scientists at NOAA’s Northeast Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC) have discovered that vessel traffic noise at Atlantic cod and haddock spawning sites in the Gulf of Maine are “reducing the distance over which these animals can communicate with each other.”
