Increasing Shortage of Vietnam Basa Could Lead to Higher Prices Later This Year

Aquaculture areas of basa fish have declined in Vietnam during this first quarter. This is expected to take a toll on the supply in September, October and even this fourth quarter. In the meantime, the demand is continuing to rise in China, especially in its coastal regions. Basa prices are predicted to rise further with a widening gap between supply and demand later.
