China Joins US and Mexico to Shut Down Totoaba Trafficking to Save Endangered Vaquitas

China joined the US and Mexico to help combat totoaba trafficking in its market, whose harvest has endangered vaquita porpoises in Gulf of California waters.
According to a blog post by Zak Smith from the Natural Resources Defense Council, on December 1, China, the United States and Mexico agreed to fight totoaba trafficking and provide tools to help enforcement officers target the domestic movement and sale of totoaba.
