India Shrimp Exporters Hope 2% US Preliminary Duty Hike is Reversed as Factories Have Tuned to US

US has adjusted the preliminary anti-dumping duties on import of frozen shrimps from Indian shrimp exporter upwards by 1.93%.
An official from Chirag Ice Factory, which exports shrimps to the US said, “This will impact Indian shrimps exporters and Commerce ministry should take up the matter with the US.”
“India will also lose its edge on shrimp exports as other countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, China will benefit from this hike,” the official adds.
The US government has increased the rates to 4.89 per cent in 10th annual review of dumping duties, compared to 2.96 percent in the ninth review which covered February 1, 2013, through January 31, 2014 ...
