Michigan's Commercial Lake Whitefish Values Dip for First Time in Years

The commercial value of lake whitefish harvested from the Great Lakes in 2015 fell for the first in years according to a report from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
Combined, the state-licensed commercial fishery caught nearly 3,401,000 pounds of fish with an estimated wholesale dockside value of more than $5.4 million prior to processing, marketing and retail sales.
