Russia has managed to push Crab Poachers Back into Japanese Waters

The Russian government is considering designing new measures aimed at fighting illegal crab catch and supplies in the Russian Far East.
According to Alexander Duplyakov, head of the Association of Crab Catchers of the Far East, despite the measures which have already been taken by the Russian government in recent years, the problem remains still serious.
Among the possible solutions of the problem is the establishment of international focal point for the fight against poaching.
According to Duplyakov, the peak of illegal crab catch in Russia took place in 2007, when the illegal catch exceeded 180,000 tonnes....
