Mills Administration Nets Intervenor Status in Lobster Industry-NMFS Lawsuit
Maine Governor Janet Mills announced her Administration was granted intervenor status by a federal judge in a lawsuit filed by Maine’s lobster industry against the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS).
The Mills Administration can now intervene on pending litigation that contests NOAA’s recently announced Atlantic Large Whale Take Reduction Plan Modifications.
The pending lawsuit was filed by the Maine Lobstermen’s Association (MLA) on September 27.
