DFO, Listuguj Mi'gmaq Government Land Deal for a Fall Commercial Lobster Season
Canada’s Fisheries Minister Bernadette Jordan announced the DFO has reached a deal with the Listuguj Mi'gmaq Government (LMG) to develop a short commercial lobster season to help “provide the community more flexibility in undertaking its fishing activities.”
The fishery will take place in Lobster Fishing Area 21B, which LMG has previously conducted its spring commercial fishery and fall food, social and ceremonial (FSC) lobster fishery for two decades.
