ANALYSIS: December Shrimp Imports Move Higher Again to Another Annual Record
December shrimp imports were released today and show a large increase (+8%) from last year to 146.242 million pounds. This was a reversal from last month’s marginally lower year-over-year figure and put total 2020 imports at 1.645 billion pounds. This again broke the one-year-old record by 6.3 percent. This is the sixth straight year of gains to record levels.
