Third Indonesian Tuna Fishery Nets MSC Certification; 11k Tonnes of Sustainable Tuna to Enter Market
The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) announced that the Indonesia pole-and-line and handline, skipjack and yellowfin tuna of Western and Central Pacific archipelagic waters became the third tuna fishery to meet the standard for sustainable fishing.
The fishery marks another success for the MSC and Indonesian government collaboration with 11,000 tonnes of sustainable tuna becoming available in the U.S. and European markets.
