EU Council Takes Action to Limit Socioeconomic Impact of Baltic Cod and Western Herring Quota Cuts
The Council of the European Union (EU) has taken measures to help fishermen cope with the socioeconomic effects of the severe fishing restrictions on cod and Western herring in the Baltic Sea.
The restrictions will see the cod catch in the Baltic sea by 92 percent, while herring in the western Baltic will be cut by 65 percent.
