Bristol Bay Catch Now Second Highest on Record
It’s happening again, Bristol Bay is breaking records while other salmon areas in Alaska -- with most notable exceptions of the Copper River and the South Peninsula -- are significantly smaller than expected.
This year’s cumulative harvest of 42.26 million sockeye is the second largest in history. The largest was 44.2 million in 1995.
