EPA in Pacific Northwest Weighs in Against Pebble Mine, says Draft EIS Inadequate for Meaningful Analysis
We don’t yet know if the fix is in on Pebble, with some in the US government determined to push the mine forward regardless of the law and the facts.
But the EPA region 10 weighed in with comments essentially saying the draft environmental impact statement is garbage because it underestimates “risks to groundwater and surface water flows, water quality, wetlands, aquatic resources, and air quality from the Pebble Project.”
