Coast Guard Coordinates Complex Rescue of 2 Fishermen More than 1300 Miles Southwest of San Diego
On Friday the U.S. Coast Guard 11th District Pacific Southwest coordinated the rescue of two Mexican fishermen who were injured while their fishing vessel was more than 1300 miles southwest of San Diego in international waters.
The two men were part of the tuna fishing fleet Pesca Azteca. On Tuesday evening a crane on the f/v Mazatun collapsed while recovering nets. The crane collapse injured three people, with two of them suffering serious head and leg injuries...
