Over 50% of Gulf Snow Crab has been landed; Newfoundland at 66%
The latest Gulf quota report for areas 12, 18, 25 & 26 shows that 51% of the total quota has been harvested. That means that 13,585 tons have been landed, out of a total Gulf quota of 27,742 tons.
In Newfoundland, landings for the inshore sector have reached 66% of the quota, meaning 7615 tons have been caught out of 22,378 tons. Adding in the offshore quota, which includes NAFO areas beyond 200 miles, the total quota is 26,531, of which 60% has been harvested...
