EU Lifts Yellow Card on Thailand, Says Country Successfully Addressed IUU and Made Progress on Labor
The EU Commission announced today that they were lifting the ‘yellow card’ warning they issued to Thailand because the country has successfully addressed shortcomings in its fisheries legal and administrative systems.
The warning was first issued in 2015, amid media reports on abuses of labor in Thai fisheries, and prevalence of IUU fishing.
