Today's Main Story: Nova Scotia Wary of Other Provinces Cashing in on Redfish
There is a huge biomass of redfish in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, approaching 3.5 million tons, but the fish is still mostly below commercial size. However, the Canadian government has already awarded several experimental licenses to develop the fishery, mostly to Newfoundland and Quebec.
