Atlantic Sapphire puts 800,000 eggs into commercial production at Florida Indoor Facility
In an announcement to the Oslo stock exchange, Atlantic Sapphire said it has placed 400,000 salmon eggs into its hatchery operation in Miami, Florida, and will place another 400,000 eggs in the coming week.
These are the first commercial scale batches of salmon eggs introduced to indoor recirculating aquaculture in Florida. The company said they remain on track to deliver its first harvest of 9,500 tons (HOG) annualized production from the US facility in mid-2020.
