Seafish warns UK Seafood Exporters to File Paperwork for possible no-deal Brexit by December 12th
UK’s Seafish Authority has publicized a request from the UK Food Standards Agency that all seafood exporters must file new paperwork by December 12th, if they plan to continue exporting to the EU in any way after a no-deal Brexit.
Seafish says that in the event of an exit from the EU, the Food Safety Agency has to provide the EU with a list of approved establishments, which is separate from any questions of tariffs and market access.
By December 12th, all UK seafood exporting businesses have to 1) request if they wish to continue to export, 2) list their total exports to the EU and volume of consignments over the past 12 months,...
