ANALYSIS: Imports of All Categories of Shrimp Higher in September

September imports of warmwater shrimp products were 5.5 percent higher than in September 2017. The year-to-date total is 1.08 billion pounds, 4.2 percent higher than the Jan-Sep 2017 total.
India (+13.5%), Ecuador (+32.6%), Vietnam (+17.9%) and China (+33.5%) all shipped more shrimp to the U.S. in the month of September. Indonesia (-6.6%) and Thailand (-36.9%) shipped less shrimp.
