The California Department of Fish and Wildlife announced Wednesday a commercial spiny lobster fishery closure around Anacapa Island, effective immediately.
State health agencies determined that spiny lobster near Anacapa Island in Ventura County had unhealthy levels of domoic acid and recommended closure of the commercial fishery in the area.
