Kodiak Coast Guard Medevacs Fisherman Hit by Crab Pot

A 27-year-old fisherman on f/v Patricia Lee was medevaced by the U.S. Coast Guard early Tuesday morning. The 116-foot commercial fishing vessel was 190 miles west of Dutch Harbor, Alaska.
The crewman was reportedly stuck on the head by a crab pot. A medevac was recommended by the Coast Guard duty flight surgeon, and two Air Station Kodiak MH-60 aircrews, a Coast Guard corpsman and an HC-130 Hercules aircrew were dispatched. Two Jayhawk aircrews were needed due to ...
