NOAA Cracking Down on Halibut Charter Fishing Violations

NOAA’s Office of Law Enforcement (OLE) is cracking down on charter halibut fishing violators.
OLE recently fined a charter owner and operator $9,750 for exceeding the number of anglers allowed by his charter halibut permit. The permit allowed the owner to take four anglers, however, OLE discovered that more than four anglers were taken out on multiple occasions.
