FFAW Calls on New Fisheries Minister to Defend Owner Operators in Canadian Atlantic Fisheries

Dominc LeBlanc has been replaced as Canadian Fisheries Minister in a cabinet reshuffle by Prime Minister Trudeau. The new minister, Jonathan Wilkinson is from BC, and is the first time in around 20 years that the Minister is not from Atlantic Canada.
His elevation means that some BC issues, such as protection of Orcas and relationships with First Nation fisheries will get more attention.
On the East Coast, the FFAW was cautiously optimistic for a 'reset'.
