Russian Ex-senator Alexander Verkhovsky Becomes Second Largest Fishery Quota Holder

The largest deal since 2013 was officially closed on the Russian fish market Tuesday. The Sakhalin Island company, a Russian fish producer owned by ex-senator Alexander Verkhovsky, acquired the Preobrazhensky Base of Trawl Fleet (PBTF), one of Russia’s largest fish producers, from the family of Sakhalin governors Oleg Kozhemyaka.
