A small Lousiana Seafood company has been caught selling blue crabs harvested illegally in Lousiana waters.
Shell Beach Seafood of St. Bernard, Louisiana, has pled guilty to the illegal sale of blue crabs.
The seafood company is being accused of knowingly selling and transporting blue crabs that were acquired illegally under Louisiana State law between May 1, 2012 and March 30, 2013. The market value of the blue crabs was reportedly in excess of $350.
Sentencing for Shell Beach Seafood is scheduled for August 16, 2018. The company faces a maximum fine of ...
