B.C. Norovirus Outbreak Expands from 40 to 126 Cases

The Public Health Agency of Canada is working with federal and provincial public health partners to investigate the norovirus outbreak linked to British Columbia raw oysters.
Last week news broke that two B.C. Vancouver Island oyster farms were closed following about 40 cases of gastrointestinal disease associated with eating raw oysters. There are now a total of 126 gastrointestinal illnesses that are linked to oyster consumption, with 92 coming from British Columbia, 9 from Alberta and 25 from Ontario ...
