CONXEMAR Announces Next FAO Congress on Analysis of Global Seafood Production; Also Meets with Pope

CONXEMAR and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) have met today at the headquarters of the international institution, in Rome, to agree on the theme of the next World Congress that both entities have jointly organized for seven years.
The Congress will take place on October 1 in Vigo and will address the world production of the main commercial species of cephalopods, whitefish and crustaceans.
For a number of years FAO and Conxemar, the Spanish Seafood Processors Association, have jointly held an international meeting prior to the start of the annual industry exhibition in Vigo.
Last year more than 80 national and international authorities from all continents, including 9 Fisheries Ministers, and almost 400 attendees came from around the world.
While in Rome, the Board of Directors of Conxemar were able to meet with Pope Francis..
