P.E.I. Lobstermen Landed 36.4 Million Pounds in 2017, up 20% over Last Year

Alan McIsaac, the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries for Prince Edward Island, is thanking local fishermen for helping the economy. The P.E.I. lobster fishery brought in 36.4 million pounds in 2017, which comes out to approximately $226 million.
“You fellows are the ones that are making the economy go and helping us to balance the books,” McIsaac said, according to the Journal Pioneer.
