Branding Fight Breaks Out as Local Community Supported Fisheries Object to FultonFishMarket.com

The success of the community supported fisheries model, just like the success of local farm CSA’s on land, has spurred larger companies to try and get in on the action.
The latest is Fultonfishmarket.com, a company that operates from the Fulton Market in New York, and is now selling as a ‘Fulton Fish Market Community Suported Fishery.”
The Fulton company has a wholesale and direct to consumer business packing fish from Fulton and offering overnight shipments to both consumers and restaurants in various cities.
They have now added a ‘Community Supported Fishery’. This program ships a selected fish share once a week to a pickup location near where the customer is located. The share is two dinner servings of fresh fish, for $18.00.
They have 17 various pickup locations in Brooklyn and Manhattan, and also in the Chicago area, often located in coffee shops or restaurants...
