Ecuador's Songa Investing Further for China Shrimp Market, Says Shortages of Large Shrimp Over

An increase of production capacity helps alleviate the shortage of large white shrimps from Ecuador.
Thanks to favorable climate, Ecuador is able to raise white shrimps renowned for tight meat and delicious taste. They are widely received among Chinese consumers. As the statistics show, over 50% of Ecuador’s white shrimps are exported to Asia this year, while most are sold to China.
There is some shortage of such shrimps within this first half year because of frequent heavy rainfall in Ecuador. Farmers have to sell out shrimps smaller than expected.
