Vietnam’s Shrimp Exports See Robust Increase, but Not to U.S.

While Vietnam’s shrimp exports increased by 18.5% y/y in the first seven months of 2017, it saw a 5.5% y/y decrease in the United States market, primarily due to an increase in duties.
During the seven-month period, Vietnam earned $1.9 billion from exporting shrimp.
