Fishermen Gather on Yarmouth Wharf Concerned That Out-of-Season Lobster Sales are Taking Place

YARMOUTH, N.S. – Fishermen in Yarmouth have been gathering on Lobster Rock Wharf during evenings this week to draw attention to their claims and beliefs of commercial fishing taking place within the Aboriginal food fishery.
Fishermen first gathered peacefully in the parking lot the evening of Sept. 6 and were back the evening of Sept. 7. The RCMP have also had a presence on and around the wharf, keeping an eye on things.
