Poland Threatens to Block part of CETA Trade Deal Between EU and Canada

The CETA trade deal between the EU and Canada is signed and will begin to see tariff reductions go into effect on September 21st. Canadian seafood exporters are expecting to see some immediate benefits, such as a reduction in lobster tarrifs prior to the Christmas holiday.
However, Poland is threatening to block part of the trade deal over a dispute resolution system.
At issue is the tribunal system that would allow investors or company owners to go to a special tribunal if they had a dispute with a counterparty involving the trade deal. Poland objects to the system in the agreement that would not guarantee a judge from the affected country would be selected. Instead the current deal calls for 5 EU judges, 5 Canadian judges, and 5 external judges....
