Chicken of the Sea Investing $1.4 Million in Upgrade to Georgia Plant

Chicken of the Sea, a Thai Union Group Company, is upgrading their 200,000 square foot facility in Lyons, Georgia.
The company initially opened the processing plant in 2009, and is now sinking a $1.4 million investment into technology upgrades. The upgrades will include a new, high-speed vision system, as well as a new canning line. Plant manager Greg Riekhof says that the improvements will increase the plant’s efficiency and strengthen Chicken of the Sea’s food safety program...
