ISA Confirmed at One of Bakkafrost's Faroese Salmon Farming Sites

Faroese Veterinary Authorities confirmed a case of ISA at one of Bakkafrost’s salmon farms and the company has adjusted its 2017 salmon output forecast because of the containment measures.
Tests confirmed a case of ISA at the A-73 Hvannasund Nor farming site. This case concerns two cages. Bakkafrost said it has already harvested all fish in the first cage (approx. 100,000 fish) and will also harvest the next cage (approx. 90,000 fish) immediately.
As a result of the harvesting, Bakkafrost lowered its 2017 salmon harvest forecast by 600 metric tons of gutted weight. This represents about 1 percent downward adjustment from the company’s full year estimate of 56,000 metric tons of gutted weight...
