Romania's Fish Consumption on the Rise After Long Decline

After years of continued decline, Romania’s fish consumption has been slowly picking up. Despite this upwards trend, Romanians still consume less fish today than in 1989.
Currently, Romania’s total fish consumption is currently estimated at some 100,000 tons per year, or about 5 kg per capita, according to figures obtained by local daily Jurnalul National.
