Norway and Russia Keep 2016 Barents Sea Cod, Haddock Quotas Above ICES Advice at 2015 Levels

Norway and Russia decided to maintain a status quo for next year's Barents Sea cod and haddock quotas in a decision made during the 45th session of the Joint Russian-Norwegian commission Fisheries on Monday.
The total allowable catch for the jointly managed Barents Sea cod in 2016 will be 894,000 thousand tons, the same as this season. Next year's haddock catch was also held at 2015 levels at 244,000 tons...
