Wholesale beef prices continued their plunge last week, as packers continued to discount most items in an effort to move product amidst limited interest. The cutout, which represents a composite value of the carcass based upon prices paid for primal cuts, has lost nearly $30 per cwt since the beginning of September and is currently seeking a seasonal bottom.
