National Weather Service Predicts Another Mild Fall Season for Alaska

The National Weather Service’s Climate Prediction Center has released its forecast for the next three months -- and for Alaska, it means following the trend established through much of the year.
According the CPC, Alaska overall with see above-average temperatures, with Southcentral Alaska in particular expected to be warmer than normal for August, September and October.
For the next three months, Southcentral shows a greater than 70 percent chance of significantly above normal temperatures, according to Rick Thoman, the climate science and services manager for the National Weather Service’s Alaska Region...
