Philippines Yellow Card Lifted by EU

Manila: The Philippines hailed a move by the European Union to lift the threat of fishery products ban after the country made earnest efforts to comply with the latter’s requirements on sustainable fishing practices.
“The Philippines notes with satisfaction the EU lifting of the warning or ‘yellow card’ in recognition of the significant progress made by the country in addressing Illegal, fisheries concerns,” Philippines Secretary of Foreign Affairs Albert del Rosario said.
