Seafood Expo Global Turns in Solid Show Despite Transit Strike, Weak Euro

The 2015 Seafood Expo Global had strong traffic and good buyer interest this year despite the two problems of a transit strike in Brussels, and the weaker Euro.
The currency is on eveyone's mind, and is often the first thing brought up in meetings. But it effects every species across the board that is exported to Europe. It will make some products more expensive, but others such as salmon, and shrimp are seeing prices go down enough to offset currency issues.
The transit stike along with a slow down by federal police at the airport here ended up not having much impact. Traffic at the show today was good, despite the subway shut down.
