Rhode Island Researchers Testing Probiotics to Protect Young Oysters from Vibrio tubiashi

NARRAGANSETT, RI, Researchers at the University of Rhode Island and Roger Williams University are testing beneficial bacteria, or probiotics, to determine whether they can protect young oysters from a devastating disease caused by Vibrio tubiashi.
They are also hoping the same bacteria might also be effective in combating lobster shell disease.
