Iceland Haddock and Saithe Re-certified to Iceland's Responsible Fisheries Management Specification

Iceland is celebrating the news that its haddock and saithe fisheries have been re-certified to the Icelandic FAO based Responsible Fisheries Management Specification .
The certification was awarded by Global Trust/SAI Global and demonstrates that the fisheries are managed in a responsible manner, according to internationally recognised criteria.
The haddock quota for the current fishing year September 2014 to August 2015 is 30,400 tonnes and the quota for saithe is 58,000 tonnes.
