Captain D's Finding Success with Grilled Items, Learns Guests Like to Linger

Grilled seafood and low calorie meal options have helped Captain D’s Seafood Kitchen boost its sales 25 percent over last January.
The seafood restaurant chain with headquarters in Nashville, credited this month’s higher sales figures to the launch of its D-Lite menu, which featured the chain’s line of Fire Grilled Tilapia, Wild Alaskan Salmon or shrimp skewers served with rice and a side of broccoli or green beans all for under 500 calories.
“We took our new grilled menu to the next level with the D-Lites options,” said Jonathan Muhtar, CMO at Captain D’s. “We know that our guests are looking for ways to eat healthier in 2015 while not sacrificing flavor, so we’re making it easy for them to reach their goals and enjoy a great-tasting meal.”
Captain D’s success to start the year is a continuation of the chain’s blistering performance over the last two years. In that time the company completely restructured its brand with new restaurant designs and menu offerings.
