GAA and Vietnam plan to complete country-wide VietGap / BAP fish farming standard in early 2015

The Global Aquaculture Alliance and Vietnam's agricultural officials plan to complete a national standard based on the Best Aquaculture Practices program for the country's pangasius, shrimp and other fish farmers early next year.
In an open letter to the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), the GAA praised the work done to bring VietGap, a nationally recognized fish farming standard, to the Vietnamese industry. GAA said it envisions VietGAP as a foundation for aquaculture enterprises in Vietnam seeking certification under its Best Aquaculture Practices scheme...
