TUF opens Global Innovation Incubator at university

BANGKOK, Thai Union Frozen Products (TUF), the world's largest canned-tuna producer, has opened its Global Innovation Incubator, a 100 million baht ($3.3 million) research and development facility at Mahidol University's Faculty of Science.
"This is an important milestone to the history of Thai Union and an uncompromising tool allowing us to stand tall in the world's seafood industry," Thiraphong Chansiri, president and chief executive officer of TUF told reporters in Bangkok on Tuesday.
The 600 sq.-meter research center at Mahidol has a team of 60 researchers from TUF and the university that will conduct research into consumption patterns, tuna processing technology, and studies on tuna nutrition and varieties. TUF already has ...
